Terms and Conditions

General:

Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours is an initiative of certified city guide / tour leader Joeri D'Haens.

Accredited guide at:

- Tourism Flanders Guide 2018

- Tour guide Tourism Flanders - Europe and Distant destinations 2020

- Guide Monumental Churches of Antwerp vzw (2017)

- Royal Association of Guides Antwerp (KgvA)

- Federation of Tourist Guides (FTG)

Antwerp's finest guided tours is registered with the Chamber of Commerce with company number BE 0736.615.327.

Confirmation:

If you book a city walk, you will receive a confirmation (e-mail, Messenger, Whatsapp, ...) with date, time and starting place of your guided tour.

These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements concluded with Antwerp's finest guided tours.

Starting time:

- Be at the agreed starting point of the walk on time

- If you are a little later, call 0032 486 06 36 96. In principle, Antwerp's finest guided tours adheres to the agreed end time.

- If you are more than 15 minutes late without notifying this by telephone, Antwerp's finest guided tours can cancel the guided tour. In this case, you remain obliged to pay the full invoice for the guided tour.

- A standard guided tour lasts between one and a half and two hours. An additional fee of € 50 per hour started may be charged for each additional hour. This extra time can, after mutual consultation, possibly be bought off with a Bolleke.

Maximum number of people per guided tour:

A maximum of 20 people applies for a guided tour. For the comfort of the group, it is better to limit the number of participants per guided tour to 15 people. If more than 20 people are requested, this is possible at an additional cost per participant. Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours is free to decide whether or not to respond to this.

Implementation and quality of the guided tour:

Guided tours are always provided by Joeri D'Haens.

In some cases, the guide will be provided by a fellow guide. This, for example, if several guides are requested, or if Joeri D'Haens is not available at that time. You will be notified of this in advance.

Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours only works with certified guides who fit in the philosophy of Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours, namely offering participants a qualitative and pleasant guided tour.

The selected guides of Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours are professional and correct in information. If a specific walk is requested, an untrained guide may be engaged because of that guide's exceptional expertise. Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours closely monitors the quality and correctness of the information provided.

Payment :

Payment for a city walk must be paid to bank account immediately after receipt of the invoice

BE24 9531 4991 0738 in the name of Joeri D'Haens.

Invoices are exempt from VAT under the special exemption regulation for small businesses (art.56bis)

Insurance and Liability:

Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours has a liability and physical accident insurance policy that covers camalities during guided tours initiated by the guide. Participation in city walks is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for participating in traffic. The guide is not responsible for material or immaterial damage suffered by the participant during a walk or for damage caused by the participant to third parties. The guide is not responsible for damage or loss of the participant's property.

Cancellation by the customer:

- Reservations can be canceled or changed free of charge up to 14 calendar days in advance (e.g. number of guides if several are ordered)

- When canceling a guided tour up to one week in advance, 50% of the agreed fee will be charged.

- When canceling a guided tour in the week preceding this guided tour, 75% of the agreed fee will be charged.

- In case of cancellation on the day itself or if the customer does not show up, the full fee will be charged.

Cancellation by Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours:

If a city walk, after confirmation and due to force majeure, must be canceled by Antwerp's Finest Guided Tours, the customer does not have to pay. Any advances paid will be fully refunded.
